As you might have heard by now, it has been announced that the upcoming Destiny 2 will be coming onto the PC, confirming earlier rumors in the process. Now some gamers who might have played the game on console, if you’re looking for a reason to switch to PC, how does a boost in graphics sound to you?

According to a report from USgamer, they have confirmed after attending Bungie’s Destiny 2 event in Los Angeles that it seems that the PC version of Destiny 2 will run at 60fps or possibly even higher. Bungie has stated that the frame rates on Destiny 2 for the PC will be unlocked, so depending on your setup it could go beyond 60fps which is what the game was locked to during the demo.

As for consoles, it seems that Destiny 2 will be locked in at 30fps, and if you’re wondering if this applies to newer and more powerful consoles like the PS4 Pro, unfortunately it seems that it will. However things like frame rate and resolution are only part of the overall gaming experience so if Bungie gets it right, Destiny 2 will still be an enjoyable game regardless of which platform you play it on.

It was also announced that Destiny 2 for the PC will only be available through Blizzard’s Battle.net, which isn’t surprising given that Destiny 2 is published by Activision whose parent company is Activision Blizzard. In the meantime you can check out the gameplay reveal trailer in the video above.
