After confirming that it’s going to release Far Cry 5 in the coming months, Ubisoft released the first official trailer for Far Cry 5 last week. The trailer confirmed that the game would have a rural U.S. setting with the action taking place in Montana. The company has now revealed some more details about the upcoming Far Cry game.

Ubisoft Creative Director Dan Hay revealed in a video interview with YouTube channel UbiCentral that Far Cry 5 story is going to be dynamic and not linear like previous titles in the franchise.

Without revealing specifics, Hay said that “the map is big!” He also mentioned that when players are going through the game’s world, they will be altering it in a dynamic way. The experience will be different compared to previous Far Cry games which provided a feeling of a linear story.

Far Cry 5 will allow gamers to alter the gameplay experience in their own way so they can spend a lot of time in one region or spend too much time playing with one character. It will be entirely up to them.

The artificial intelligence-powered characters in the game will be smarter. So if you hit an enemy hard, it’s going to hit back at you harder. Far Cry 5’s dynamic AI is going to track the player’s effect in the game and alter the enemy’s strategy against them.

More will be revealed about Far Cry 5 in the coming weeks. Far Cry 5 is due for release on February 27th, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
