One of the accessories launched with the iPad Pro is the Smart Keyboard which not only turns the iPad Pro into a laptop-like device, but it also takes advantage of the tablet’s Smart Connector. Unfortunately not everyone’s Smart Keyboard experience was particularly good and there have been quite a few customers experiencing issues with their keyboard.

So much so that Apple has since launched an extended repair program in which customers experiencing certain issues with the keyboard will be able to receive repairs and replacements for 3 years after the device was purchased. This covers the Smart Keyboard for both of Apple’s iPad Pros, like the late 2015 12.9-inch model and the 2016 9.7-inch model.

For those wondering what these specific problems are, it includes sticking/repeating keys, sensor issues, problems with the keyboard’s magnetic connector, connection issues, and unresponsive keys. If you experience any of these issues with your Smart Keyboard, know that the extended repair program is most probably for you.

This extended repair program as the name suggests is extended beyond the typical 1 year Limited Warranty that is offered with Apple’s hardware products, bringing the total to 3 years. So if you are experiencing these problems, then you’ll want to head on over to an Apple Store to either get it fixed or maybe get a replacement unit instead.
