The thing we’ve noticed with flagship smartphones is that battery is usually not an area that is focused heavily on. Instead companies focus on design, like how thin the phone is, how bezel-less its display is, and so on. This usually means that battery life tends to suffer a bit, where it’s not exactly terrible, it’s not exactly long-lasting either.

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ are no exceptions and while their batteries are decently sized, we’re sure that power users will find themselves out of juice before the day is out, but the good news is that Mophie has you covered. The accessory maker has launched the battery pack cases for both the Galaxy S8 and S8+, in which it will offer an additional 2,950mAh and 3,300mAh battery respectively.

This pales in comparison to the 5,100mAh battery pack that Samsung launched recently, but given that these are battery cases, it is a lot more portable and convenient compared to carrying around an external battery pack which also requires users to have a cable for it. Unfortunately these battery cases do not come cheap and they are priced at $100 each.

However it should be noted that both cases are Qi compatible which means that they can also be charged wirelessly should you choose to.
