With Nokia officially making their comeback, we’re sure that many are excited to see what kind of flagship phone the company could have up their sleeves. We’ve been hearing a bit about the Nokia 9 which is rumored to be the company’s flagship for 2017, and we’ve also seen some of its alleged specs.

However a recent sighting at Geekbench might paint a slightly different story. According to the listing on Geekbench, it seems that there is a chance that the Nokia 9 could come with as much as 8GB of RAM! That’s double of what we have been hearing which is that it will pack 4GB of RAM which is pretty standard these days.

Last year we saw OnePlus try to push the envelope with 6GB of RAM but it doesn’t seem to have caught on quite as much as we had thought. Other rumored specs of the Nokia 9 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 64GB of storage, a 5.3-inch QHD display, and a dual camera system that may or may not continue to use Carl Zeiss technology.

In any case we should point out that benchmarks can be faked or can sometimes be inaccurate, so take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Is 8GB overkill, or do you think that it probably won’t matter?
