Cameras come in various shapes and sizes and if you’re looking for a camera that can withstand a drop or two or maybe a splash of water, not to worry as Olympus has you covered. The company has recently announced its latest rugged compact in the form of the Olympus Tough TG-5.

This is a compact camera that is rugged meaning that you can bring it with you on the go and not have to worry about dropping it or getting it wet. It is waterproof, crushproof, dustproof, and even freezeproof so taking it out with you to places with extreme weather should not pose an issue.

As for its specs, it’s not the most impressive compact we’ve seen but it should get the job done. It will feature a 12MP CMOS sensor with a 25-100mm f/2.0 lens. It will also come with 4x optical zoom, a max ISO of 12,800, and Canon’s latest TruePic VIII image processor. There will also be video support where you can capture 4K footage at a max of 30fps, or 1080p Full HD at 60fps or even 120fps if you want to slow things down.

There is also a built-in LCD display and WiFi for wireless transfer. As for pricing, it will retail for $450 and will be available this coming June.
