OnePlus confirmed a couple of months back that it’s working on the OnePlus 5. It’s gradually revealing more information about the handset before the day comes when it makes the official announcement. The company itself hasn’t said when it’s going to do that but if a new report is believed, the OnePlus 5 launch date is going to be in mid-June.

The report points to a purported leaked internal mail from OnePlus which is about making arrangements for publicity of the OnePlus 5 launch which, according to the leaked email, is going to take place on June 15th.

Do take this with a grain of salt as nothing as been confirmed by OnePlus at this point in time. However, given the pace at which we’re seeing leaks about this handset, it may not be long before OnePlus makes it official.

As far as the specifications are confirmed, the company itself has confirmed that the OnePlus 5 is going to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor. It’s going to have a front-facing fingerprint sensor and a camera system that has been developed in collaboration with DxO. It may also feature a dual camera system on the back as well as Android 7.1 Nougat.

Expect to hear more about the OnePlus 5 in the days to come.
