There are many reasons why people find it difficult to fall asleep. It could be due to stress at work or school, or maybe the coffee they shouldn’t have had at 10pm at night, but like we said, these are just examples of some of the reasons why. However come 2018 and for $400, we might have an answer to insomnia.

Dubbed the Sana Sleep mask, this is a pair of goggles developed by Sana Health that apparently will promise the wearer a peaceful 10 minutes worth of sleep. We know that 10 minutes isn’t long, but it has been said that a proper and restful 10 minutes is more effective compared to a longer nap which isn’t quite as restful.

How does it work? For starters we guess the fact that it blocks out light plays a role. However it also offers up audio and visual stimulation that is said to promote a good sleep and will put the wearer into a deep state of relaxation. It can even monitor your nervous system to help personalize the experience and suit your needs.

Unfortunately the Sana Sleep mask does not come cheap as it will be priced at $400. The company recently managed to close a round of seed funding and is expecting to work towards mass producing the headset where it should be available in the second quarter of 2018.
