Don’t you just hate it when you want to fully enjoy a snap but the time limit is not enough and then it fades into oblivion. Sure, you can try to replay that snap, but sometimes even that’s not enough. As competition from Facebook and Facebook-owned Instagram rises, Snapchat has now decided to make a big change. The change impacts how users create and send snaps. They can now send snaps without a time limit.

Yes, there’s now going to be an infinity setting in the timer. This will enable the recipient to view the snap for as long as they want. However, after they’ve finished viewing it and tap to close it, the snap is going to be deleted automatically.

This is a compromise that Snapchat has worked out to enable users to keep viewing snaps that they want to look at properly while also retaining the ephemeral qualities that have made the photo-sharing service so famous.

Snapchat has also added a Magic Eraser which is placed under the Scissor tool. It will remove objects from snaps and fill them in with their surroundings. A new Loop tool for videos has been added, allowing users to decide whether their snap plays once or loops until the recipient taps to the next snap.

These features are now live for all Snapchat users on iOS and Android.
