Sony unveiled a new affordable smartphone back in March called the Xperia L1. The company didn’t say anything about how much the smartphone was going to cost and when it was going to be available for purchase. Sony has now followed through with all of the crucial information that customers would have been wanting to find out. Sony has confirmed today how much the Xperia L1 is going to cost in the United States and from where it can be purchased.

As previously mentioned, Sony Xperia L1 is an affordable smartphone, so don’t expect much in the way of specifications. For its price, the Sony Xperia L1 offers customers a 5.5 inch 720p display as well as a MediaTek MT6737T that’s coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot, a 13 megapixel front and 15 megapixel front camera as well as a 2,620 mAh battery.

Don’t expect any of the carriers to sell this smartphone. They’ve not been carrying Sony smartphones for quite some time now. Therefore, Sony is selling the Xperia L1 through retailers in the United States.

The Sony Xperia L1 is now available for purchase in the United States from Amazon and Best Buy. It has been priced at $199.99. The Xperia L1 is off-contract and unlocked so it’s going to be a good option for those who are looking for a good unlocked smartphone that’s affordable.
