T-Mobile has a habit of trying to steal its competitor’s customers by launching promotions that entice them to switch to Magenta. The latest is aimed at Verizon customers, particularly those who own a Google Pixel or Pixel XL. That’s because Verizon is the exclusive carrier partner for the Pixel and Pixel XL in the United States. T-Mobile has said that it’s going to cover the cost of the device for all Verizon customers who switch to its network.

While T-Mobile is marketing this offer to Google Pixel and Pixel XL owners on Verizon, several iPhone models are eligible as well actually. T-Mobile is promising to pay off the customers’ Pixel bills on Verizon, regardless of how much balance they still owe Big Red.

Starting May 31st, Verizon customers can switch to T-Mobile and get their Pixel or Pixel XL paid off in full by Magenta. They will be activated on T-Mobile One with device protection. Customers who switch will then be free to keep their phone and their number. They just port their number to T-Mobile, insert a new SIM into the handset, and they’re good to go.

The outstanding payment will be sent to customers with a digital prepaid MasterCard, typically within 15 days, claims T-Mobile. So they will receive their money to pay off the device on Verizon even before their carrier bill is due.

As always, don’t forget to read the fine print on T-Mobile promotions page.
