T-Mobile has launched an improved device protection plan. It’s calling the plan Premium Device Protection Plus or PDP Plus. The carrier says that this is going to be the “gold standard in device protection, service, and support.”

It builds on T-Mobile’s Premium Device Protection services by adding McAfee Security for T-Mobile with ID Protection. Customers also get “VIP-level” assistance from tech support for all devices that connect to the internet via the user’s T-Mobile phone, tablets or hotspots.

Premium Device Protection Plus is available for all customers buying a new device and adding a new line of service. For $15 per month, they get 24/7/365 dedicated agents to provide lost wallet and ID restoration services which is backed by $1 million insurance for qualifying recovery expenses.

Data protection against viruses and online threats is also provided, including privacy protection for up to 10 compatible devices like phones, tablets, and even PCs and Macs. Customers get coverage for accidental damage and hardware service for $15 per month as well. There’s protection for lost and stolen devices as well.

AppleCare services are included for newly purchased or financed iPhones and iPads. They will get 24/7 priority support to AppleCare technical support over chat or phone as well as low service fees like $29 for replacing an iPhone’s damaged screen.

More information about the Premium Device Protection Plus plan is available on the carrier’s website. Don’t forget to check out the fine print too before you decide to pay $15 per month.
