If you grew up playing games like The Sims on your computer and you would love to be able to take that experience with you on the go, you might be pleased to learn that EA is more than happy to oblige as the company has announced that they will be bringing the original “The Sims” game onto iOS and Android devices.

Note that this isn’t the first time that The Sims has arrived on mobile or other platforms. Previously there was The Sims Freeplay and The Sims Social, but if you wanted something more in-depth that is akin to the PC version of the game, then we guess the latest release is probably what you’re after.

This version of The Sims is pretty much similar to what you’ve played on mobile. This means that players will be able to create their own Sims, customize them to their liking, build them homes, get them to interact with each other, and go about their daily lives. Like we said, it’s pretty much the same version as the PC so if you’ve played it before, there really shouldn’t be anything too unexpected.

That being said there is no word on when the game will be released. EA’s website states that it will be “coming soon” which could be anytime. There is also no mention of pricing or if there will be in-app purchases, but we wouldn’t be surprised if there were.
