Ubisoft’s annual earnings report provides good insight into whatever the company is planning for the following year. It released its annual report today which means we now know what to expect from Ubisoft in the coming year. The French publisher has confirmed that it’s going to release a new Assassin’s Creed game and Far Cry 5 next year aside from a couple of other titles.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed in a press release that new Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew, and South Park titles will be released next year.
“Over the last three fiscal years, Ubisoft has – with remarkable success – created numerous new brands and rebooted Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon,” he said, adding that in 2017-18 Ubisoft is going to bring back Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew, and South Park.
Ubisoft intends to continue its “digital transformation” in the coming year and consolidate its new business model which is more recurring and more profitable while being less exposed to new releases.
Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed much about these new titles at this point in time but it’s likely that the publisher may have more to share about them at the year’s biggest gaming convention.
E3 2017 is going to kick off next month and since the publisher has confirmed that it will hold a press conference on June 12, we can be sure that it will make some announcements concerning the major releases lined up for next year.
