Over the years, Waze has offered up various voice packs that users could use to change the turn-by-turn navigation voice, with the most recent being Mr. T. However if you always thought that it would be cool to be able to record your own voice or the voice of a friend or loved one, you’re in luck.

In the latest update to the app, Waze has finally introduced a voice recorder feature. According to Waze, “Introducing the Waze voice recorder! Record your own voice directions to guide you on the road. In your Waze settings, tap Sound & voice to access Voice recorder, and get your kids and friends to record a favorite voice style.”

There will be a list of phrases that can be recorded and you’ll be able to find those in the settings menu. Of course you’ll also want to make sure that whoever is recording their voice says the correct words. After all you don’t want to become a victim of a prank where the person says “Turn left” when the phrase says “Turn right”.

In any case the latest update to the app should already be live, so if this is something you’d like to check out then hit up your app store to get your hands on it.
