Microsoft has a growing library of Xbox titles that are now backward compatible with the Xbox One. The new console’s backward compatibility feature enables Xbox One owners to enjoy updated versions of the games that they loved on the Xbox 360. If you’ve been meaning to pick up some of those games, you will be happy to know that Microsoft is holding an Xbox backward compatibility sale in the coming week. It promises discounts of up to 75 percent.

There are literally hundreds of Xbox 360 titles that are now playable on the Xbox One thanks to the backward compatibility feature. Microsoft’s Backward Compatibility “Super Sale” is going to start May 16 and will provide up to 75 percent off on more than 275 titles.

Discounts are being offered on some great titles, including but not limited to Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV, Skate 3, and Call of Duty Black Ops 2.

The company hasn’t shared the full list of discounted titles as yet but Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson shared the names of the titles mentioned above on Twitter. It’s unclear how much these games will be discounted by but it goes without saying that those who pick them up are likely going to save a pretty penny.

The Xbox Backward Compatibility Super Sale kicks off May 16th. Visit the Xbox Store then to find out which titles are discounted.
