There are multiple tiers that you can select when you decide to subscribe to Apple Music. The company already offers monthly and family subscription plans but it hasn’t offered an annual tier, until now. Apple has quietly added a new annual subscription tier for its music streaming service. Apple appears to have gone out of its way to hide this tier as it’s not prominently listed in the app.

Apple Music subscribers can currently opt for the $9.99 per month subscription package or the $14.99 per month family plan. Students can subscribe to the service for a discounted rate of $4.99 per month. The company has quietly added a $99 annual subscription plan to the lineup as well.

Those who are not existing Apple Music subscribers will not be able to find this tier when they sign up for the service initially. They will only be able to subscribe to the monthly plans mentioned above.

Existing subscribers can head over to membership settings and then switch over to the annual tier. This means that new subscribers will first have to purchase a monthly subscription before they’re allowed to switch.

To find this option, you need to launch the App Store app first and then scroll down to the bottom of the Featured tab. Enter the Apple ID and password before tapping on “View Apple ID.” Tap on the Subscriptions button next and then switch the membership tier.

If you don’t want to go through all of that aggravation, just buy a $99 Apple Music gift card which also provides a year’s worth of service.
