As Diablo 3 gamers are aware by now, Blizzard has plans to introduce a “new” class to the game in the form of the Necromancer, which is actually a character from Diablo 2. Of course there will be some changes made to the character which we have seen previously, and now it looks like Blizzard has since released the cinematic trailers for the character.

Note that there are two trailers, with one trailer being for the male version of the Necromancer, and the other being the female version, which is to be expected since Diablo 3 saw Blizzard introduce the ability to choose a gender for your character. However other than the difference in gender, the trailers are pretty much the same and are done in the style of the other character trailers we’ve seen.

For those who are hearing about this for the first time, Blizzard announced their plans for the Necromancer class back in 2016 during BlizzCon, in which many gamers were probably hoping that we would see a new expansion or maybe even a Diablo 4. However unlike other updates to the game, the Necromancer will be sort of a paid DLC that gamers will have to purchase separately from the game.

This will be a first for Blizzard and perhaps it could set the stage for future Diablo titles. The Rise of the Necromancer pack is expected to be made available with the upcoming Patch 2.6.0.
