The Galaxy Note 8 is one of the most highly anticipated smartphones of 2017, partly because it’s the successor to the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung’s ill-fated flagship that it had to discontinue due to exploding batteries. A dubious render of the Galaxy Note 8 has leaked online and it highlights some of the changes that we’ve already heard about in rumors concerning this device.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 8 is going to have an Infinity Display much like the Galaxy S8. The display is even believed to have the same aspect ratio as its Galaxy S8 counterpart.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be powered by an Exynos 8890 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and AKG-tuned stereo speakers. The handset is believed to have a textured Bixby button so that people don’t confuse the key for the voice control interface with the volume key.

The render will have you believe that the Galaxy Note 8 is going to have a vertically-positioned dual camera system on the back. Countless rumors have suggested that Samsung’s next-generation flagship smartphone is going to feature a dual camera system and that it will be the first smartphone from Samsung to do so.

Samsung is yet to confirm anything about the Galaxy Note 8 and we can’t expect it to until the official announcement is due. Samsung normally unveils new Galaxy Note handsets by September and there’s no reason to expect the company to stray from tradition this year.
