We reported last week when an image leaked online suggested that Sony had made a gold PlayStation 4 Slim. There doesn’t seem to be anything different about this console other than its gold color, which one has to agree, is a bit unorthodox for a gaming console. A new leak suggests that the gold PlayStation 4 Slim is going to be released next week.

The PlayStation 4 Slim is currently offered in matte black and glacier white colors only. This isn’t the first time that Sony has launched a gold-colored PS4. The original PS4 was sold through a competition with fast food chain Taco Bell in gold color.

Twitter user Wario64 has leaked the Target weekly ad for the week of June 11th which mentions that gold PlayStation 4 Slim is going to be a “limited edition console.”

The ad mentions that this limited edition console is going to be sold for $249.99 so customers will be able to buy it at a $50 discount compared to the normal retail price of $299.99. Customers will also be able to pick up a gold PS4 DualShock controller for $39.99.

Sony is yet to officially announce the gold PS4 Slim and it’s not known right now when it plans to do that. It’s also unclear if Sony is going to offer this color option in other markets across the globe.
