With Microsoft having Forza as its Xbox racing game, Sony’s answer to that would be in the form of the Gran Turismo franchise. Now the latest title in the franchise would be Gran Turismo Sport which was announced last year, and was also slated for a release in November 2016. Clearly that did not happen.

However for those who are still eagerly anticipating the game, you might be interested to learn that we now have a rough timeframe to look forward to as Polyphony Digital has announced that the game will be launched in the fall of 2017. The game will be supported by the PS4 Pro which means that gamers who own the device will be able to look forward to 4K gaming at a buttery smooth 60fps.

We’re not sure what was the reason behind the delay of the game, but we guess it was to iron out whatever kinks there were which is pretty standard and normal these days. After all it’s better to delay the game rather than launch it with issues, especially since first impressions are what counts.

In any case there is no specific release date set except to say the fall of 2017, so check back with us in the coming months where hopefully we’ll have something more specific to share with you guys. In the meantime you can check out the new trailer for the game above.
