IO Interactive’s Hitman was very well received ever since it came out about a year ago. The developer decided to make it an episodic title and released the final episode of the first season a couple of months back. If you’re been meaning to play this game, you will be delighted to find out that the first two missions of Hitman collectively titled ICA Facility are now free for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. That’s not all, IO Interactive is also offering the first season at a discounted price.

IO Interactive, the studio behind this game, has had a rocky journey these past few weeks. Square Enix decided to withdraw its investment in the studio and was open to selling it off.

The studio negotiated a managerial buyout with Square Enix so it’s back to being an independent studio once again. It has retained the rights to the Hitman franchise. The studio’s CEO Hakan Abrak has said that the price drop on Hitman is its “first hello as an independent studio.”

ICA Facility is the prologue to this game and serves as a tutorial for the main episodes. All of the seven episodes that make up the game’s first season are on sale as well with discounts of up to 60 percent being offered on the Xbox Marketplace, PlaySation Store, and Steam.
