It appears that Huawei has another fitness tracking wearable in the pipeline that it’s going to announce in the near future. The company has sent out invites to the press for an event on June 12 where it’s going to unveil its new wearable device, the Honor Band 3. The invite doesn’t really reveal much about the device itself so we’ll have to wait until the launch day to find out more about it.

The invite does have some water splash effects which might suggest that the wearable device will have IP67 water resistance, not unlike the Honor Band A2. Given that there’s no “A” moniker in the device’s name, it could be a more premium product and might have improved waterproofing as a result of it.

Given that it’s expected to be a more premium product, the Honor Band 3 is likely going to cost more than the Band A2 as well. Then again, it’s not like Huawei charges too much for the Band A2, it only costs $30.

More information about the Honor Band 3 will be revealed when the device is officially unveiled on June 12th. We can expect it to have compatibility with both Android and iOS for notifications which will be displayed on its OLED display and it may even include a heart rate sensor.
