There is no shortage of gaming monitors in the market today. We’ve seen a couple of new models being announced this week on the sidelines of the E3 2017 gaming convention in Los Angeles. Companies like Samsung have come out with gaming monitors that look absolutely bonkers but are interesting enough to capture your fancy. LG is out with one of its own, the company has launched a new 34 inch ultrawide gaming monitor.

LG’s new 34 inch ultrawide gaming monitor bears model number 34UC89G. It touts a 2560×1080 pixel resolution display panel with NVIDIA G-Sync technology. It also has a 144Hz refresh rate.

This new gaming monitor takes the baton from LG’s 34UC79G which also had a similar 21:9 aspect ratio and the same 144Hz refresh rate. However, that monitor had support for AMD FreeSync and not NVIDIA G-Sync.

The new monitor also features a widened color gamut, several unique display modes as well as the ability to overclock the refresh rate to 166Hz. This makes the LG 34UC89G a good contender to put on your listing when you’re trying to find out which gaming monitor you should buy.

LG’s new gaming monitor is available for purchase from retailers like Newegg, Amazon, and B&H starting today with a hefty price tag of $999.
