Wireless charging isn’t exactly a new piece of technology, but yet it isn’t quite as ubiquitous as you might think as not many handset OEMs have been quick or particularly eager to adopt the technology. However it seems that the upcoming LG V30 could, at least that’s according to recently leaked images uploaded onto Slashleaks.

The leaked images in question shows the midframe of the handset, which as you can see in the image above clearly shows the wireless charging coils that would help facilitate the wireless charging process. Of course there’s no way of actually confirming if this midframe belongs to the LG V30, so take it with a grain of salt for now.

However it is in line with earlier rumors that did suggest that wireless charging could be a feature. Also given that the competition such as Samsung supports wireless charging, and the rumors that Apple could also introduce wireless charging to the iPhone 8, it makes sense that LG would not want to skip on the feature.

However since there is no official word yet, it’s probably best to not get your hopes up just yet. So far other LG V30-related rumors include the possibility of LG ditching the secondary display in favor of an OLED panel, and that it could be announced at IFA 2017 later this year.
