Monument Valley is considered to be one of the best smartphone games out there. The game combines beautiful art with interesting puzzles that are bound to leave you confused and entertained for hours on end. I personally believe it’s one of the best mobile games I have ever played, and now there’s a new one. Monument Valley 2 for iOS has now been released.
The sequel came as a surprise to fans of the original title who weren’t expecting it. The developer has surprised fans by releasing Monument Valley 2 on the App Store yesterday while Apple was still in the midst of its WWDC 2017 keynote.
“Guide a mother and her child as they embark on a journey through magical architecture, discovering illusionary pathways and delightful puzzles as you learn the secrets of the Sacred Geometry,” the developer explains in the App Store description of the game.
Monument Valley 2 has a standalone story, two new characters as well as revamped game mechanics for solving puzzles. Improvements have also been made to the graphics for a more striking gameplay experience.
Monument Valley 2 is now available exclusively for iOS from the App Store. The original title was released for Android as well so it’s possible the sequel will land on Android as well, but it’s unclear when that’s going to happen.
