Xiaomi has launched a refreshed version of the Mi Notebook Air that it launched in China initially last year. The new 13.3 inch model comes with more powerful specs as well as a fingerprint sensor which is now a major selling point for this notebook. Xiaomi has previously launched a variant with 4G LTE support and even a 12.5 inch model with Intel’s 7th Generation Core M3 processor.

Xiaomi’s new 13.3 inch Mi Notebook Air is powered by the mighty 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 3.0 GHz. It promises a 10 percent performance improvement over its predecessor. Another configuration is available with an upgraded 7th Generation Core i5 processor.

Other specs include 8GB DDR4 RAM with up to 256GB of PCIe SSD. The new model features a fingerprint sensor as well for controlling access to the notebook. It even features an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card with up to 2GB GDDR5 memory. Like previous models, the new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air features AKG speakers.

Xiaomi is now selling the Mi Notebook Air with the 7th Generation Core i5 processor in China for 4,999 Yuan or $737. The company is yet to confirm the price for the model with the Core i7 processor.
