After weeks of countless rumors and speculation about when the company was going to launch its new flagship smartphone, we now know when the OnePlus 5 launch is going to take place. The company has finally confirmed today when it’s going to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone, or “flagship killer,” as it likes to refer to them as. One of the rumored launch dates has actually turned out to be true.

It has been rumored since a week that the OnePlus 5 launch date will be June 20th. However, since no official announcement had been made, it couldn’t be taken at face value just yet.

OnePlus has made an official announcement today, though. It has confirmed that the OnePlus 5 launch date is June 20th. The online reveal will begin at 12:00PM Eastern. After the online reveal, the company is going to conduct pop-up events in major cities across the globe where people will be able to get their hands on the latest OnePlus device.

The company hasn’t said anything about the device itself at this point in time so it’s unclear when it’s going to be released and how much it’s going to cost. It’s also not known which countries will receive the handset first.

From what we know about the handset so far, the OnePlus 5 is going to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a dual rear camera system, and a front-mounted fingerprint sensor.
