You may not remember but Samsung announced a Wi-Fi mesh router with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ a couple of months back. It’s not just a router, it doubles as a SmartThings Hub as well. The company didn’t say at that point how much this product was going to cost and when it would arrive. Samsung has now started taking pre-orders for the Connect Home router so now we know those details.

Samsung’s Connect Home Wi-Fi mesh router is now available for pre-order from BestBuy.com. Samsung is going to sell it in several combinations so that there are options for users with different requirements.

The three-pack will provide ample coverage for a 4,500-square feet home and is going to cost $379.99. Samsung is also selling a standalone unit which is good for a 1,500-square feet home for $169.99. Those who want more can opt for more coverage can stack up more Connect Home units to get maximum possible coverage.

Samsung’s Connect Home router has support for Zigbee and Z-Wave standards as well so it can be used to control compatible smart home products and connected devices as well.

The mesh router is now available for purchase via Best Buy’s website as well as its retail stores across the United States.
