Will the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 feature dual cameras? According to recent leaks, it would suggest that is the case. However prior to this Samsung has yet to launch a handset with such features, and many had expected the Galaxy S8 to be the first, although clearly that did not happen.

However could Samsung be inching closer to making a dual camera smartphone a reality? It is possible, especially since the company has recently taken the wraps off a new Isocell camera at MWC Shanghai that features a dual camera setup. The camera shown off at the event features dual sensors of the 13MP variety and with an aperture of f/2.0.

According to Samsung, this particular camera system will allow the phone to snap superior image quality under low-light conditions, but whether or not those are just marketing words remains to be seen, although to Samsung’s credit the cameras on their smartphones have proven over the years to be pretty good.

We should point out that this unveiling is by no means a guarantee that the upcoming Note 8 will feature dual cameras, but it is pretty clear that the company is at the very least interested in the technology. Whether or not it will find its way to the Note 8 remains to be seen, so maybe temper your expectations for now.
