Watching Twitch on your computer or streaming to Twitch from your computer is relatively easy. However unfortunately trying to do so from mobile isn’t exactly the best experience, but that’s something that Twitch is changing as they have announced that they are rolling out a new mobile app over the course of the next 2 weeks.

The new mobile app will feature a spanking brand new design that looks cleaner and easier to use, and one of the biggest changes they’ve made is how users can live stream from their phones. According to Twitch, “With mobile streaming, going live is as simple as pressing a button. Stream to your channel directly from your phone’s camera to the Twitch App – no need to switch between other apps.”

This should help the app better compete against the likes of other live streaming platforms such as Facebook Live, Instagram Live, Periscope, and so on, all of which have clearly been designed for mobile in mind. In addition, the new Twitch mobile app is broken into 3 different sections, with Live, Pulse, and Browse.

The Live section basically shows users live streams from people they follow. Pulse is more of a recommendation area where you will be able to discover live streams and clips that have been tailored for you based on your preferences, and Browse basically lets users browse everything Twitch has to offer. Like we said, the new app will be rolled out in the next couple of weeks so do keep an eye out for it.
