Display company AOC and design house Studio F. A. Porsche have unveiled their new collaboration which they are referring to as “two incredible-looking monitors.” Yes, they have teamed up to design a monitor that aims to provide a good design at an affordable price point. The new 24 inch and 27 inch monitor has an almost frameless panel, an asymmetrical design, and no hanging cables.

The new AOC PDS series is based on the principals of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, his approach to design was “If you analyze the function of an object, its form often becomes obvious.”

The company says that since a monitor is just a screen in its purest sense, it should provide a beautiful visual experience but that experience is often impacted by unsightly cables that hang down from the monitor’s ports. So they get together and made a monitor without any hanging cables.

Both models combine power and HDMI outputs into a single cable that’s coming out of the stand. This keeps the design nice and minimalistic. The monitors feature full HD IPS panels that are enhanced with AOC’s SuperColor Technology. A wider color gamut and viewing angles of 178°.

If you’re interested in picking one up, the 24 inch and 27 inch model of this new AOC monitor is now available for purchase from Amazon for $199 and $249 respectively.
