When Destiny 2 was announced, one of the surprises was how the game was announced for the PC. This is because the first Destiny game was console-only, and many had assumed the same would happen with the sequel, but apparently not. For those who do plan on playing the game on the PC, here’s something you might want to do.

It seems that if you have a Blizzard or Bungie.net account, you will now be able to link them together. Basically this helps players keep track of their stats, such as hours played, and also manage their inventory. This also helps to consolidate things further if you’re the type that would rather not have multiple accounts.

It is an interesting move, especially when you consider the fact that Blizzard accounts are only for Blizzard games, although an exception has been made for Destiny 2. This shouldn’t be too surprising given that Activision is the publisher behind Destiny 2, and the Activision Blizzard company that’s behind Blizzard as well.

Destiny 2 for the PC is currently set for a release this coming October and its open beta is scheduled to take place in August. Gamers who might need help trying to link their accounts can head on over to Bungie’s website for the details.
