It goes without saying that Google does plan to launch new smartphones this year, most likely part of its new Pixel lineup of phones now that they have pretty much retired the Nexus lineup. One of those phones is the Google Pixel XL 2, which will be the larger of the two models, and now we might have an idea of what to expect.

In a post by Android Police, they have uploaded a render of what they claim that the Pixel XL 2 could look like. Note that this isn’t a leaked rendering of an official image, but rather this is a render that has been put together based information from sources that Android Police considers reliable. However given that it isn’t exactly official, you should probably take it with a grain of salt anyway.

In terms of design, we are definitely getting a Samsung Galaxy S8 kind of vibe as it appears that the edges of the phone are curved ever so slightly, not to mention the fact that the bezels appear to be quite thin as well. Interestingly enough Android Police is reporting that the Pixel XL 2 will sport a squeezable frame similar to that of the HTC U11, which is interesting when you consider the fact that LG is supposedly the manufacturer of this year’s Pixel phones.

It also appears that based on the renders that Google is sticking with a single camera design versus a dual camera setup. We’re not sure why that is, especially when you consider the trend, but we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime what do you guys think of the design?
