Bandai Namco confirmed back in April this year that it was going to release Gundam Versus as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in the West. It was surprising to many since this franchise hasn’t really made a lot of appearances in North America and Europe, presumably due to licensing issues. Bandai Namco has now confirmed when Gundam Versus is going to be released for the PlayStation 4.

Gundam Versus is the fifth iteration of this Gundam US franchise which happens to be quite popular down in Japan. The new game is going to be released in that country on July 6th. The new title features classic 2 vs 2 battles with mobile suits. It also brings 3 vs 3 matches.

Players will have access to more than one hundred playable mobile suits in Gundam Versus, this includes Gundams from major anime and manga of the franchise. There will also be a bevy of customization options so that players can add their own touches to the suits.

Bandai Namco has now confirmed when Gundam Versus is going to be released in North America. As previously mentioned, this game is going to be exclusive to the PlayStation 4.

The publisher today confirmed that the Gundam Versus release date for PlayStation 4 in North America is September 29th, 2017.
