What was initially rumored as the LG G6 Mini has turned out to be an entirely new series of smartphones from LG. The company today unveiled its much-rumored LG Q6 series. There are three new smartphone models included in it which are called the LG Q6+, Q6, and Q6α. The company aims to offer some of the features from its flagship-level devices at an affordable price point with these handsets.

The display is certainly one of the biggest selling points of this new series from LG. As expected, all three smartphones feature a 5.5 inch Full HD+ “FullVision” display. The panel is similar in appearance to the LG G6’s display which also has minimal bezels. All models have a metal body as well.

Since these are affordable devices after all, none of the models feature a fingerprint sensor at the back or a dual camera system for that matter. Then again, that is to be expected from a smartphone at this price point.

All three handsets feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor. The Q6+, Q6, and Q6α feature 4GB, 3GB, and 2GB RAM respectively as well as 64GB, 32GB, and 16GB of onboard storage.

They also feature a 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 7.1.1. The new Q6 series from LG will be available in key markets across Asia starting next month. Europe and Latin/North America will receive these handsets later this year.
