HMD Global, the Finnish company that’s making Nokia-branded handsets now, might reveal a new flagship handset by the end of this month if new reports are to be believed. It’s said that the company has a new handset in the pipeline called the Nokia 8. It may be different from the handsets it has released so far in that it’s expected to feature flagship-level specifications.

We’ve been hearing repeatedly over the past few months that HMD Global has a flagship Nokia handset in the pipeline. Earlier reports suggested that this device was going to be called the Nokia 9.

However, if the latest reports are to be believed, this handset is actually going to be launched as the Nokia 8. It’s reportedly going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It may also feature a 5.3 inch WQHD display.

There’s no word as yet on how much the company is going to charge for this handset. The report only mentions the possibility that HMD Global might unveil this handset before the end of this month.

As far as the pricing is concerned, it’s speculated to be around €600 or north of $600 so it’s definitely going to be priced in flagship territory. It remains to be seen if customers feel it’s worth the money.
