There are many who consider the Nokia 3310 as being one of the most classic feature phones in existence. This is because the handset was great to use, had pretty amazing games on it, and it was built like a tank where the running joke is that it would be impossible to break. This is why many were excited to see HMD Global relaunch the handset earlier this year.

Now it is clear that based on the design that the new Nokia 3310 is not exactly the same as its predecessor, and so the question is will it be able to withstand the rigors that its predecessor did? That’s a question that YouTuber JerryRigEverything decided to find out for himself as he put the new Nokia 3310 through a durability test.

This involved a variety of “torture” tests such as scratching, burning, and bending. Unfortunately it seems that the new Nokia 3310 scratches easily, thanks to the fact that it is made out of plastic. There was also a bit of melting during the burning processor, although it seems to have made it out of the bend test just fine.

We suppose it’s safe to say that they probably don’t make phones like they did back in the day, but so far reviews of the Nokia 3310 are pretty positive, or at least as much as you might be able to expect from what is essentially a feature phone. That being said if you’re hoping to pick up the handset for yourself, do note that there are no plans to launch it in the US at the moment.
