To say that Doom is a popular game would be an understatement. It has a pretty robust global fan following and for good reason, it’s a great game. Those who have been thinking about purchasing the game but would like to try it out first will be happy that Doom is free this weekend for PlayStation Plus members. All PlayStation 4 owners who subscribe to PlayStation Plus can play Doom for free this weekend.

Doom has been developed by id Software and Bethesda has published it. The game was released back in 2016. It was a reboot of the original Doom title that was released more than two decades ago. Fans of the original title have largely been impressed with what the new Doom brings to the table.

Doom tasks players with destroying hordes of demons through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign. There are numerous multiplayer modes that players can compete with their friends in.

Players can combine their arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, take advantage of an advanced melee system, and expand their gameplay experience using the Doom SnapMap game editor.

The free weekend promotion brings the full game to all PlayStation Plus members for free plus the game’s three available DLC packs that bring new modes, maps, and weapons.

The free weekend promotion is live until Monday, June 31st. PlayStation Plus members who take advantage of this promotion will be able to carry over their gameplay progress if they decide to purchase Doom after the fact.
