Recently Qualcomm’s CEO expressed his hope that the legal battle between them and Apple could be settled out of court. While that has yet to happen, it seems that the company is wasting no time in putting the pressure on Apple to potentially arrive at a settlement, especially since they have recently taken the legal battle to Germany.

According to a report from dpa (via AppleInsider), Qualcomm is now suing Apple in Germany over two patents that they are alleging that Apple has infringed upon. The patents in question cover battery efficiency technology, with Qualcomm seeking to end all imports of the iPhone into the region.

This is somewhat similar to the request that Qualcomm had filed with the ITC in which they were hoping to ban the imports of the iPhone into the US. The lawsuit between both companies have been ongoing for a while now and it looks like they are only just heating up. However Apple isn’t alone in this as others have filed lawsuits against Qualcomm as well, such as the FTC.

Whether or not this new lawsuit will force Apple to settle with Qualcomm remains to be seen, but given that we’ve seen how Apple has stood their ground against the likes of Samsung for many years, it seems unlikely.
