Samsung launched Bixby earlier this year with the Galaxy S8. The company has made no secret of the fact that it’s going to eventually release Bixby on more devices, even devices like smart home objects and appliances. So it’s not at all surprising to see that it’s expanding Bixby to its mid-range lineup. Samsung today launched a variant of the Galaxy A7 (2017) that comes with Bixby.

This variant of the Galaxy A7 (2017) has been launched in South Korea today. There’s nothing different about this device when compared to the Galaxy A7 (2017) that was released by the company earlier this year.

The only major difference is that this variant comes with Bixby Home. Samsung has added the cards-based information view of the assistant to this handset.

Bixby Voice, the full experience that brings support for voice commands and additional functionality, is still limited to the Galaxy S8.

Samsung hasn’t been able to get Bixby Voice ready for English-speaking users as yet, the full Bixby experience is currently limited to Galaxy S8 owners in South Korea.

The company has also added Bixby Home to the recently launched Galaxy Note Fan Edition which is the refurbished version of last year’s ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.

The Galaxy A7 (2017) with Bixby is available for pre-order in South Korea starting today. Samsung hasn’t confirmed if it will make Bixby Home available to existing Galaxy A7 (2017) owners across the globe.
