Ever since Nintendo announced that they would be discontinuing the NES Classic Edition, prices of the console sold via third-party retailers and individuals have skyrocketed. For example it has been spotted on eBay that the console is retailing for as much as $400, which is way, way, way more than the original price of $60, but hey, that’s basic economics for you.

Now if you’re looking to own the NES Classic Edition, you’re in luck because the folks at ThinkGeek have somehow managed to get their hands on a bunch of the consoles. The only catch is that they are being sold in bundles with addition stuff, which means that they will retail above the $60 price tag. However we suppose the consolation here is that at the very least you won’t be paying more just because.

In fact you might even find a bundle that you might like. Basically these bundles include the console along with a bunch of toys/accessories, like a Tetris Lamp, or a Mega Man helmet, and more. Note that some of the consoles have already been sold out so if you hurry, you might still be able to get your hands on one. The prices vary from as low as $140 and will go up to $220, so head on over to ThinkGeek’s website for the details. In the meantime if you’d like to avoid another similar situation in the future, keep an eye out for the SNES Classic Edition’s release.
