One of the features that many lamented had been removed from the new MacBooks is the MagSafe connector, which ensured that laptop owners would not trip over their laptops and send them crashing to the flood. Now we’ve seen quite a few third-party options, but for the most part they tended to stick out like sore thumbs.

However it seems that it will no longer be an issue, thanks to Vinpok as the company has unveiled the Bolt-S USB-C adapter. As you can see in the photo above, the Bolt-S adapter is incredibly small and sits almost flush against the side of your laptop. This means that you won’t have to worry about dongles sticking out and you could pretty much leave it in all the time.

It will also reportedly offer up 87 watts of charging power, which the company claims is the first and only magnetic power cable that is capable of fully charging the 2016 and 2017 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar laptop. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but presumably it shouldn’t be an issue.

Note that since this is basically an adapter, it will take up on your USB-C ports and it cannot be used for data transfer. This means that once you’ve plugged it in, it can only be used for charging and nothing else, but if you don’t mind the loss of one USB-C port, then head on over to Vinpok’s website to place your order where the adapter is priced at $29 and will be available in black or silver.
