At the end of July, ASUS confirmed that they would be holding an event in which they will officially announce their next flagship smartphone in the form of the ASUS ZenFone 4. For those who are curious about the handset, wonder no more as ASUS has officially taken the wraps off the phone during Computex 2017 in Taiwan.

ASUS has announced both the ZenFone 4 and the ZenFone 4 Pro, in which the ZenFone 4 appears to be something of a mid-range smartphone with some pretty impressive specs. We’re talking about 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a glass body, and a 12MP Sony IMX362 camera on the back of the phone with OIS and an f/1.8 lens.

However what makes this phone feel mid-range would be its choice of processor, where it will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and a 5.5-inch display. However if you were hankering for more power, that’s where the ZenFone 4 Pro comes in with its Snapdragon 835 chipset.

It is expected to share similar features to the ZenFone 4 save for its chipset and camera, where the cameras on the ZenFone 4 Pro are of the 2x optical zoom for one camera, and with an f/1.7 lens for the other camera. It is also expected to pack a larger 3,600mAh battery. Unfortunately ASUS did not mention when the ZenFone 4 and ZenFone 4 Pro will be made available or how much it will cost, but we’ll keep an eye out for more information.
