If you’re looking for a camera that’s relatively compact but can take some pretty good photos, but also don’t want to have to deal with the hassle of lugging around and juggling multiple lenses like with mirrorless cameras, then Canon’s PowerShot G series of cameras have proven to be pretty good at getting the job done.

Now the last time we saw a PowerShot G camera was back in 2014 with the PowerShot G1 X Mark II which means that the camera is 3 years old now, and in the tech world 3 years is considered to be an eternity, especially with so many advancements being made in imaging technology. However the good news is that Canon could have a successor in the works in the form of the PowerShot G1 X Mark III.

The camera in question was spotted at the Bluetooth.org website where its name was put clearly on display. Unfortunately apart from its name, not much is known about the PowerShot G1 X Mark III right now, except that it will most likely be the successor to the Mark II, but things like specs, design, and features is really anyone’s guess at the moment.

However with the camera being listed, it has been speculated that an announcement could be made soon, although Canon has yet to officially confirm anything, but either way we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information in the future.
