Apple is yet to confirm when it’s going to unveil the iPhone 8. The company has traditionally unveiled new iPhones at an event in September so it’s expected to stick with the usual timeframe. According to a new report out of France, the new iPhone could be launched on September 12th.

The French report cites several sources within European carriers that are preparing for an impending iPhone launch. If the report is accurate, Apple will officially unveil its next-generation iPhone on September 12th.

As far as the release date is concerned, the report claims that the iPhone 8 is going to be released on the Friday on the following week, meaning that customers will be able to get their hands on the device on September 22nd.

Apple usually sends out invitations for its September event towards the end of August so it’s likely that one will be coming in the following days. It will officially confirm the launch date and therefore end speculation.

Apple is also expected to launch the iPhone 7s alongside the iPhone 8. However, it’s going to be the latter that’s going to get all the attention from customers. Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone is expected to be a revolutionary upgrade compared to its predecessor.
