LG today confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone is going to feature a floating action bar. The LG V30 will come with the latest version of LG’s Android skin and it will bring several improvements specifically for the V30. Instead of having a secondary ticker display like its predecessors, the V30 is going to have a floating action bar.

The floating action bar will be displayed at the top of the screen and will enable users to quickly access the functions that they use most frequently. It will collapse onto the right side when it’s not being used.

LG’s new Android skin is also going to make improvements to the always-on display functionality. It will get more customization options. Users will be able to add floating tools, a picture, and even a music player.

Today’s press release from LG also confirms that new security features like the ability to unlock the handset with facial or voice recognition will be onboard as well. The LG V30 will be able to do that without even requiring the phone’s display to be turned on.

LG’s new flagship smartphone, the V30, is going to be powered by Android 7.1 Nougat and will feature LG’s UX 6.0. It’s going to be unveiled by LG on August 31st.
