The Nokia 8 is expected to be the company’s flagship smartphone. So far HMD Global has released quite a few Nokia handsets, but none of them have been what you would call flagship quality, which is what the Nokia 8 (and the rumored Nokia 9) are expected to change, and with flagship phones comes flagship specs.

Now thanks to a series of photos posted onto Slashleaks (via GSMArena), the Nokia 8 has been caught on camera with its specs proudly on display. Now there’s no way to confirm if the specs shown on the screen are the real deal, but like we said, flagship phones usually come with flagship specs, and this year’s flagship phones have been largely similar so the Nokia 8 shouldn’t be too far off.

Based on the leaked photo, we’re looking at the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 4GB of RAM, along with a QHD display. Based on the PPI shown, it is safe to assume that we’re looking at a display size of around 5.3-inches. It also appears to be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which presumably will be eligible for an upgrade to Android O later.

The photo is a bit dark so it’s hard to tell if there is a fingerprint sensor at the bottom like what we’ve seen so far, but HMD is expected to officially announce the phone on the 16th of August, so check back with us then for the details.
