While it will probably be awhile before we finally get the Pokemon RPG on the Nintendo Switch, the good news is that if you are a Pokemon fan and want to see Pokemon games on the Switch, there is the upcoming Pokken Tournament DX that could be worth looking forward to, and the good news is that a playable demo will be available starting tomorrow.

In an announcement by Nintendo of America, the company has revealed that a playable demo of Pokken Tournament DX will be released on the 23rd of August via the Nintendo eShop at 9PM PT or 12AM ET. This playable demo will let players take the game for a test run before deciding whether or not they want to part with their hard-earned money.

Note that Pokken Tournament isn’t a new game and the DX version is basically the Switch version of the game. It was announced back at E3 2017 and will come with gameplay features that takes advantage of the Switch’s hardware. It will also introduce 5 new Pokemon to the game that was not present in the earlier version, but otherwise it should more or less play the same way.

It has also been confirmed that the Pokken Tournament’s Wii U controller can also be used with the Switch, so if you have that lying around you can use it with the console no problems.
