If you’re hoping to see a Resident Evil title arrive for the Nintendo Switch, you might have been a bit bummed when earlier this year, the game’s producer ruled out launching Resident Evil for the Switch. However Capcom had recently revealed that they were working on more titles for the platform, and Resident Evil has been revealed to be some of them.

Capcom has recently confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 will be coming to the Switch. No word on a release date yet, but Capcom states that it will most likely be later in 2017. Granted this isn’t Resident Evil 7 which we’re sure many gamers have been hoping for, but we guess it is a start.

However given that Resident Evil Revelations was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS handheld console, we guess seeing it arrive for the Switch shouldn’t really be too surprising. Seeing Resident Evil 7 on the other hand would be much more of a surprise, but who knows what the future holds?

Capcom has also announced that Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 will be released on the 29th of August for the PS4 and Xbox One, so it looks like Sony and Microsoft will be getting their hands on the game first. In the meantime you can check out the launch trailer for the game in the video above.
